Irene Sullivan, Esquire
Irene Sullivan served 12 years on the family and juvenile bench as a Florida Circuit Court Judge before retiring in December 2010. Prior to that she was a general partner and trial lawyer in the firm of Harris, Barrett, Mann and Dew in St. Petersburg where she specialized in insurance defense as well as employment and probate litigation.
Irene teaches juvenile justice courses at Stetson University College of Law and is nationally recognized as an expert in juvenile justice reforms. She is a trustee and director of the Pace Center for Girls and a member of both the American Bar Association’s Commission on Youth at Risk, and Florida Tax Watch Center for Smart Justice, in addition to several other local and state boards serving young people.
Irene was inducted into Stetson University College of Law’s Hall of Fame in October of 2011 and is the author of Raised by the Courts: One Judge’s Insight into Juvenile Justice.
