1. Protect and Promote the well-being of the persons being adopted and their birth and adoptive parents. F.S. 63.022(3)

2. Understand when you are serving as an Adoption Entity and when you are serving as an attorney for the Petitioners, F.S. 63.202 and F.S. 63.032 (3) or when you are serving as birth parent attorney.

3. Ensure due process and notice is provided to the appropriate parties, In re: I.B., 142 So. 3d 919 (Fla. 5th DCA 2014).

4. Provide all pertinent Notices and Disclosures to birth parents, adoptive parents and other parties as determined, i.e. Adoption Disclosure, health history, adoption subsidy information, if applicable, copies of consent, FARR, Notice of Intended Adoption Plan, etc.
